IWS have created the ultimate Hydroponics Deep Water Culture (DWC) growing system for successful results from novice to expert!
Deep Water Culture is a method of growing that leaves your root system submerged in a highly oxygenated nutrient solution which encourages rapid growth and leads to healthy, heavy yielding fruiting or flowering plants!
On the IWS range of DWC multi-pot systems, all the pots are connected to a control unit using 16mm flexible food grade pipe, integrating IWS patented sealing glands, professional timer units and magnetic float valves. We offer the entire range of systems complete with all required air-stones/tubing and air-pump.
The DWC control unit is fed by a reservoir and has been designed to fill all the connected pots to 25mm below the root zone; this is the perfect level for optimum root growth. This system uses a single air-pump with manifold to regulate air-flow to each pot.
There are several benefits of connecting the pots into a system and occasionally returning the solution back to the main tank via timed settings with the IWS Timer unit. Firstly it means that the EC and pH of the nutrient solution can be centrally adjusted and topped up with fresh water. Also when the solution is pumped back to the tank it is mixed with any remaining solution, cooling it down before pumping it back to the pots. We recommend that you drain and fill the system 3 times per day to gain its full potential.

Note: Each pot requires 1ltr of Clay Pebbles.
*We highly recommend running a BOYU Nutrient Chiller in-line with DWC growing systems to minimise the possibility of root rot issues in overly warm grow rooms/the warmers months of the year, and to maintain the optimum nutrient temperature for enhanced nutrient uptake. The optimum water temperature for a highly productive DWC growing systems is 18C.
**As this growing system utilises external plumbing/tubing supply, we recommend lining the floor with protective, waterproof Floor Secure sheeting to avoid any leakage issues should they occur.
