A quick guide to the benefits of using CDM 315w grow light's
Most growers are now aware of the major benefits of CDM (Ceramic Discharge Metal-Halide) aka CMH (Ceramic Metal Halide) grow lights...and should you be looking for a CDM grow light then look no further than The Maxibright Daylight 315 CDM
Without question, the quality of yield is increased when a plant is grown under a CDM grow light as opposed to HPS grow light due to a broader and more natural (closer to sunlight) spectrum of light emitted. As this is a short blog we will not bang on about the Micromole and PAR relevance to specific biological reactions within a plant that will increase every aspect of plant growth and yield as this information is rather lengthy and in-depth, so should you need, or want, to overload your brain..then please by all means find the information and forward any questions you have!
The enhanced spectrum of light emitted from a CDM grow light will increase complex sugar production and essential oils within a plant in comparison to a standard HPS grow light, and in doing so will enhance the flavour of produce and increase the overall quality of yield. This enhanced spectrum of light will also produce stronger plants that are more resistant to pests and diseases and will also reduce plant stretching.
Ok, so here's the rub..a single 315w CDM grow light will not yield as high as a 600w HPS grow light and so you will need to purchase two CDM's as a swap-out for a single 600w HPS grow light, but as with many things in an ever demanding world, quality usually has a higher worth, and so the cost outlay of upgrading your lighting equipment should be negated by the worth of a quality increase!
It is worth noting that this new CDM lighting technology is still in its infancy and so as the relevant information becomes more readily available..we will pass the information on to you!
