Making a purchase
Purchasing is simple... Just browse our site and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the transaction.
When placing an order should the product required be out of stock then we will:
- Contact you to ask if you would like the product 'back-ordered' with an approx date of 're-stock'.
- Contact you to ask if you would like a suitable replacement.
- Contact you to offer a full refund on your order including P+P.
Payment via the website/ over the phone:
We accept credit card payment from the following: Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron, Solo, and JCB Cards.- Credit card purchases will show as SH-Yeovil on your card/account statement.
Payment directly into our bank:
Email or call us with your order for us to give you a total of your order including delivery charge. Then make payment at any Natwest Bank to the following bank/account:
Bank: Natwest (Yeovil branch)
Sort Code: 60 24 37
Account: 40557995
Reference for transaction: Your name.
Payment via post:
We accept credit/debit card, postal orders and personal cheques payable to Somerset Hydroponics. Personal cheques will have a 3-5 day clearance and then your order will be dispatched.
Currently we offer a UK only shopping and delivery service.
All products on our site are inclusive of 20% VAT in the price shown/stated.
Delivery Charges
We have five main categories of delivery charge:( Alternative delivery arrangements e.g Saturday delivery can be made - please contact us)
| For Small orders: | £7.75 UK mainland Next Day (working day) delivery. |
| For Small/Medium orders: | £8.80 UK mainland Next Day (working day) delivery. |
| For Medium/Heavy orders: | £9.80 UK mainland Next Day (working day) delivery. |
| For Large/Heavy orders: | £12.90 UK mainland Next Day (working day) delivery -up to 25kgs. |
*Should your order weigh more than 25 kilos, we will notify you immediately of any surcharge.*
* Delivery to Ireland and some parts of Scotland will incur a delivery surcharge on top of the charges stated, as these areas are not classed as mainland UK by our couriers. We will contact you with this information before your order is processed to allow you the option of cancelling your order and receiving a full refund. Delivery timescale for any region NOT classed as mainland UK: 1-3days. *
All goods are insured in transit. Damaged or missing goods should be signed for on the couriers delivery slip as 'damaged' so where possible please check all goods prior to signing for them. Should your order arrive damaged, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can deal with the issue as quickly as possible.
Delivery Schedule
We will normally process your order within 1-2 days and then despatch your order on a Next Day delivery service. We will contact you via email/phone to notify you that your order has been despatched and of the day you should receive your order. All products shipped to you will be in plain unmarked packaging.
If you have a specific delivery requirement then please contact us prior to your order being made so that we may be able to accommodate your needs.
Currently we offer a UK only shopping and delivery service.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is included in the price of all items.
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee & Returns
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase, You will need it should you have a problem, without it we cannot validate your purchase. Please read the terms of the guarantee relating to the items you have bought, ordinarily Somerset Hydroponics will adhere to a 30 day guarantee on faulty items, but please inform us upon delivery or at your soonest convenience to report any breakages or faults. No refund, credit or exchange will be given if it is deemed by Somerset Hydroponics that a product has been damaged or used contrary to the manufacturer's guidelines.
All guarantees are ultimately at the discretion of Somerset Hydroponics.
